MIXTURE report

Digital Diagnostic Reporting System

A Digital Solution for the Future of Pathology

Addressing Japan’s Pathology Challenges
MIXTURE Report was developed to tackle the pressing issues facing diagnostic pathology in Japan, including a shortage of pathologists and an aging workforce. By leveraging digital imaging and AI-assisted diagnostic support, this system enhances both diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
With MIXTURE report, pathologists can view digitized whole slide images (WSI), access clinical information, and make their diagnosis—all on a single webpage. This streamlined workflow allows for remote diagnosis from anywhere with an internet connection, strengthening hospital collaboration, enabling consultations on difficult cases, and ensuring faster turnaround times for patient results.

Supporting Remote Diagnosis by Connecting Specialists & Medical Institutions

Key Features

Built-in Universal Viewer for WSIs

・Open WSI directly in the browser via a dedicated pathology image viewer.
・Access all essential diagnostic information on the same page.
・Compatible with multiple slide scanner formats from various manufacturers.

Easy Management of Diagnostic Requests

・Upload macro images (JPEG), PDF request forms, scanned photos, and key diagnostic snapshots as attachments.
・Organize and retrieve case-related data with ease.
Customization Options to fit each Institution’s Needs

Flexible Diagnostic Report Formats

The default report format allows for free-text diagnosis and observations. Customization options include synoptic reporting for structured, checklist-based diagnosis (recommended by the College of American Pathologists).
MIXTURE-ILD Report provides a structured workflow for diagnosing interstitial lung disease (ILD), ensuring that key pathological findings are systematically assessed and quantified before making a final diagnosis.

Integration with Custom Pathology AI

We designed MIXTURE Report to incorporate computational tools for pathology diagnostics, including AI models for quantifying tumor cell proportions and diagnosing interstitial pneumonia.

Consultation Page

Once you create an account, you can create cases.
You can send the WSI of a case to an email address, making it easy to consult with pathologists from other institutions. Cases are automatically deleted after two weeks.
We encourage you to give it a try!

*Since this service operates via an internet connection, please ensure that any personal information is removed before sending!

Security & System Infrastructure

・Secure and stable operation via VPN-connected servers with robust cybersecurity measures.
・Flexible deployment: Cloud-based or on-premises, depending on each hospital or institution’s requirements.

Slide Scanner Compatibility

MIXTURE report supports multiple slide scanner brands and integrates with existing scanners at medical institutions.
For facilities without in-house scanners, we also offer MOTIC slide scanners (note: not approved as medical devices in Japan).

MOTIC Slide Scanner Lineup

MOTIC Easyscan One – Single-slide tray for small-scale scanning
MOTIC Easyscan Pro6 – Six-slide tray for medium-scale scanning
MOTIC Infinity 60/100 – High-capacity scanner with multi-tray stacking
  • MOTIC Easyscan one
  • MOTIC Easyscan pro6
